DOG JUDO IS PROPER JUDO
Launched 21 years ago, Dog Judo features Roy and Rexley, two bickering dogs who practise 'proper judo’. Originally supported by Virgin Mobile the online cartoon went truly viral achieving millions of views. Over the next 10 years we made 120 episodes with guest stars like Rik Mayall, Kathy Burke, Joe Pantoliano (Ralph Cifaretto in The Sopranos) and Simon Day. It featured a host of characters like Joey Gagglio the proper judo mafioso, Rexanne the judo-sceptic nurse, Peaches the unbelievable war hero, Bloodbag the meat thief, Roly the Rapping Dog and many more. BRING BACK DOG JUDO AND SUPPORT THE UK ANIMATION INDUSTRY
Funding for independent filmmakers in the UK is in crisis. Public funding is at an all time low. Traditional media platforms are stressed and not commissioning. Advertising (once the friend of the cartoon) is now data and not creative driven. We want to establish an alternative funding dynamic. This site is a small beginning.
